Why is it great?
Did you know that sidr tree is believed to be guarding the only gateway to God? According to a narration in Quran, beyond the Sidr tree on the 7 th sky, lies the realm of God where even the mighty angels cannot enter. Such is the majestic legacy of sidr and the honey harvested from this gorgeous tree is equally spell bounding.
A lot of people believe that only the sidr grown in Arabian countries are authentic. Well that is not true. Over the years, the tree has made way to a lot of other countries, India being one of them. Rajasthan, the stunning desert landscape has a vast expanse of Sidr or Wild Berry far away from human populace and pollution. What makes sidr honey such a novel thing is the fact that the trees bloom only for around 30 days in a year. Hence, the timing and technique are of immense importance. Our expert harvesters always ensure that the bees get to the right plants, at the right time. Sidr honey has a golden colour but it can darken over time. It is very sticky, has an aromatic smell and a rich buttery taste with very little to no aftertaste. This is probably the best part about being an Indian. Most of the valuable herbs are actually household names for us. Just like Eucalyptus which is more popularly called as Nilgiri. The moment we talk about it, memories of soothing aromatic oils rush to our mind. You might have done a lot with it till now, but have you ever eaten it? Well now you can, with our Eucalyptus honey!
Eucalyptus flowers readily attract bees due to their bright colours and abundant nectar. Eucalyptus honey is mostly mono-floral i.e. obtained majorly form one species of flower. It is slightly darker than normal honey and has a very pleasant aromatic smell. It is not too sweet and has medium herbal note to it. The honey offers almost all the medicinal values of Eucalyptus with a refreshingly warm and woody caramel aftertaste. It works amazingly well as a healthy sweetener to your drinks, teas and as salad dressings.

Why is it great?

Because we always think of a cotton plant loaded with white puffy balls which obviously don’t have any nectar. But here’s the thing, before those cotton balls appear, the plant blossoms with beautiful white-creamy flowers for a very short time. And that’s when our harvesters get into action.
Cotton flowers have a very short life – 5 to 7 days only. Even more short-lived is the nectar life – only day 1 of the flowers gives nectar to the bees. From next day onwards, the bees reroute themselves to the leaf-like floral part at the base of the actual flower and collect another nectar from here. The most impressive feat is that the honey harvested from the extra-floral nectar is exactly similar to the honey harvested from the flower. The honey is light in colour and the flavour is buttery with some juicy fruity undernotes. The honey is really sweet but gives a mild tingle at the back of the throat after consumption. The mild flavour makes it a great table honey.

But i am happy that i got exactly the quality i was searching. I just included one spoon of honey in warm water in morning routine and it has improved my digestion related issues. I started feeling light . When i consumed this bottle i ordered dabur honey thinking that was cheaper on my pocket but the quality dabur ( squeeze bottle ) is giving i felt its more like watery than honey.you dont feel the thickness of honey in that as well aa the fragrance nd taste seems filtered one. So again ordered the honey shop product ( ajwain honey ) though its a bit different in taste but yes it is again good for health nd stomach. I hope that company will maintain its quality and not take advantage of customer like patanjali products which now a days getting poor in quality.

The purest honey I found on Amazon so far! I have tasted quite a few brands of honey and of all the claimants to the ‘pure’, ‘organic’, ‘authentic’ honey tags available on Amazon, this is by far the best!
It passed all the usual dissolution tests (hot water, cold water); one whiff of this honey and you can sense the strong, raw aroma of unprocessed, unfiltered (raw) honey. It gave me a ‘heady’ or ‘honey rush’ the first time I tasted it (I have abstained from sweets and sugar for the past 2-3 years now) and the taste is unlike any of the processed, sugary-tasting brands. Has to be consumed in extremely low quantities given the nature of extraction (raw, unfiltered). This is the only honey product I will re-order. Amazon should label this as their (Amazon’s) choice and ensure it is free for delivery for Prime members. Wait, they already have!! Great job , Amazon!

This is my first purchase of a raw honey. I always have been accustomed to the taste of most of the processed honey and I purchased this for a change. It smelled funny first, and still has small white bubble kind on the edges of the honey. Not sure what it is.
The honey is not as thick as the ones I normally see, and also is cloudy.
The taste is also not like the usual ones found in the market. I am assuming all this is because of the raw nature of the honey. Maybe I could try another flavor of the honey next and would know the differences and pros.
I haven’t been accustomed to this yet. But hopefully I will. The only gripe I do have is that of the postage. Would have appreciated more if it was made a prime eligible product..

Pros:
Sweetness is mild and good and not highly sweet like some other brands. My understanding some brands mix little sugar syrup to raw honey. But did not feel any such thing here as i have a raw honey from another brand and is very very sweet.

Awesome honey, bought it after seeing extremely positive reviews, initially thought them to be fake, but to my surprise, it was a completely genuine honey, tested its authenticity using some youtube videos to detect purity, and it passed in all of them, just one thing, it is little costly, but still more than worth, as it is better to have little pure honey than taking other brands’ sugary water, which will not just give you an adulterated honey, but also would have adverse effect on your health with their sugary water, Totally go for this honey.

Awesome honey, bought it after seeing extremely positive reviews, initially thought them to be fake, but to my surprise, it was a completely genuine honey, tested its authenticity using some youtube videos to detect purity, and it passed in all of them, just one thing, it is little costly, but still more than worth, as it is better to have little pure honey than taking other brands’ sugary water, which will not just give you an adulterated honey, but also would have adverse effect on your health with their sugary water, Totally go for this honey.

I loved the way the product was sent across. Well packed and the glass bottle was intact. The company also sends over a small pamphlet with details about their offerings and explaining the difference between the various offerings. I love the taste of this honey and since honey has become an essential in our house, we use it as a substitute for sugar, especially for my son. Instead of sugar we give him little honey as a side for dosas or so. Also we use it in milk with a little turmeric as this works on the immunity.

Having had raw forest honey and than higher priced organic ones, I can say that this is definitely genuine and pure honey. Unlike other commercial brands which make their honey artificially sweet using sugar/sweeteners. It is much better than other brands selling under the pretext of organic honey. This honey however has a more authentic taste with natural sweetness similar to pure honey I’ve consumed. Also it was proved when I put it in water.

Writing this after reading certain reviews regarding purity test- PLEASE READ
I had used this product about an year ago, not for consuming purposes as much but more for face pack and other beauty remedies. Though I had tasted it many times and quite liked the way it tasted. It never crystalises and everything seemed fine. Never did a purity test on it but the result of my facepack were in line with using a good honey.
Now coming to the main reason I wanted to write this review- I don’t understand this water soluble purity test. I have absolutely pure raw unprocessed honey at home which my father got from a bee-hive on a tree at one of our khet(farm land). He is a farmer by profession and has been his entire life. He got it directly from the hive and then at home my mum just strained it. So yeah I am 100% sure that it is completely unadulterated and natural. I tried this “real honey isn’t soluble in water test” and what a load of nonsense. Though it settled at the bottom but it did dissolve in a while. So I think people really need to revisit their source of this information. I also told my mum and dad about this test thing and they laughed at me asking who told me this nonsense. They have lived majority part of their lives in a village where honey collection was a normal thing and always had supply of honey at home by such means. They said honey absolutely dissolves in water. Maybe time to look for new ways to test the purity because this definitely is not one. Again, I never performed the purity test in this brand’s honey just putting it out that this test isn’t a test at all it’s nonsense

My first raw honey and cloudy judgement..
This is my first purchase of a raw honey. I always have been accustomed to the taste of most of the processed honey and I purchased this for a change. It smelled funny first, and still has small white bubble kind on the edges of the honey. Not sure what it is.
The honey is not as thick as the ones I normally see, and also is cloudy.
The taste is also not like the usual ones found in the market. I am assuming all this is because of the raw nature of the honey. Maybe I could try another flavor of the honey next and would know the differences and pros.
I haven’t been accustomed to this yet. But hopefully I will. The only gripe I do have is that of the postage. Would have appreciated more if it was made a prime eligible product..

Good Honey
I normally use honey in hot water or in green tea. All other honey like Dabur, Himalaya, Patanjali etc. taste well when use in cold water but when I use them in hot water or green tea, they give very unpleasant smell and it was quite difficult for me to consume those drinks.
I placed order from “Honey Shop” for trial and it was very good. It doesn’t give any smell in hot drinks and taste as good as you consume otherwise. It’s not very thick like other brand.
Though it is little costly, but I liked it so much that I ordered another bottle of sunflower honey.
You may try it once if you want good real honey.

Testing honey – Possible Mistakes
Like everyone, I too did the water solubility test for this product first and it got dissolved. Then I thought if honey doesn’t dissolve how can I use it in hot or cold water? Then I realised my mistake of pouring a few drops of honey in water for tests. Then I tried with two teaspoon honey in a cup of water and found out it is insoluble without stirring. For my surprise I found no sweet taste in the clear water above the honey layer, and concluded this honey is not adulterated. My mistake in the first test is, honey dispersed itself to the whole surface and layer became thin for naked eye view. From my experience this is one of the best honey in the market. Go for it.

I am a fan of pure honey and I have been wandering around to get a taste of pure honey which are available only at breakfast buffets in 5 star hotels. Taste and flavour wise it tasted like the very earlier days(more than 35years ago) honey flavour where we knew it was not adulterated. Packaging is in eco friendly glass bottles so it is good. Pros:
Sweetness is mild and good and not highly sweet like some other brands. My understanding some brands mix little sugar syrup to raw honey. But did not feel any such thing here as i have a raw honey from another brand and is very very sweet.

Forest Honey was upto my expectation. The flavour was devoid of any artificial use of chemical extracts and the pouring consistency was just right. The product comes in a slim glass bottle quite convenient for storage. I have been using the honey for medicinal purposes.

Excellent product. Although you can’t judge whether it’s from the jungles or from a farm, but I will take the sellers word for it. Only question is It ships from Bangalore and the honey is from jungle of Nagpur … ? I think it is transported to Bangalore and then shipped . It’s been two years since i’ve completely switched from processed sugar to natural honey. Most commercial honey in the market are not real honey. They are highly processed. The cheap ones are nothing but sugar syrup. I am really glad to have discovered the honey shop as this is real authentic honey.
